PO-04-035 LEFT ATRIAL V. RIGHT ATRIAL ELECTROGRAPHIC FLOW CONSISTENCY IN PERSISTENT ATRIAL FIBRILLATION

چکیده
Arrhythmogenic atrial structural remodeling tends to start near the ostia of pulmonary veins (PVs) and then progress other regions left atrium (LA) before affecting right (RA) in patients with fibrillation (AF). Electrographic Flow (EGF) mapping visualizes global cardiac wavefront propagation real-time. The nature substrate may be assessed flow vectors using electrographic consistency (FC), which is magnitude vector at all points space time. High FC characterizes stable through a particular region endocardium while low indicates more chaotic disorganized propagation. Examine patterns between LA RA among all-comers AF. Data was prospectively collected from paroxysmal, persistent, long-standing persistent AF, who underwent EGF 64-electrode basket catheter ablation for For each patient, series 1 minute recordings were taken post-PVI multiple standardized locations both optimize endocardial coverage. Recordings always occurred prior any EGF-identified source ablations, if clinically relevant sources detected post-PVI. Mean these averaged per recording location atrium. Prospective study 65 enrolled: mean age 63.0 ± 9.4 years, 28% (18/65) female, LAD 44.4 5.6 mm. higher v. (0.60±0.23 0.53±0.19, p=0.026). A linear relationship established means (m=0.51, r=0.42, p=2.0x10-4), suggesting that as decreases LA, only half (51%) much RA. Slope r unaffected by recurrence status patients. Of patients, 12-month post-ablation outcomes available 52: rate 61% (11/18) below 11% (2/18) above atria. With progressive remodeling, lower than RA, reflect pathophysiologically, fibrosis originate spread atria indicate biatrial disease hence worse outcomes. More data required understand utility marker AF disease.

persistent isolated right atrial standstill associated with left atrial tachycardia
introduction atrial standstill is a rare condition, characterized by absence of atrial electrical and mechanical activity evident in surface electrocardiography echocardiography, or fluoroscopy, which is associated with unresponsiveness of atria to maximal output electrical stimulation. this condition can be present with thromboembolic complication, low cardiac output, and sometimes palpitation...

متن کاملLeft atrial and left atrial appendage 4D blood flow dynamics in atrial fibrillation
BACKGROUND Atrial 4D flow magnetic resonance imaging was used for the characterization of left atrial (LA) and left atrial appendage (LAA) flow dynamics in patients with atrial fibrillation (AF). METHODS AND RESULTS 4D flow magnetic resonance imaging measured in vivo 3D blood flow velocities in 60 AF patients and 15 controls. Anatomic maps of LA and LAA stasis and velocity were calculated to ...
متن کاملAssessment of left atrial and left atrial appendage flow and stasis in atrial fibrillation
Background Atrial fibrillation (AF) is associated with increased risk of stroke due to development of left atrial (LA) thrombus [1]. Thromboembolic risk is assessed by clinical risk scores (CHA2DS2-VASc). However, these scores have limited predictive value. Echocardiography studies have shown that physiologic factors such as decreased atrial blood flow and increased stasis (LA velocities <0.2m/...
